Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organising Committee, we are pleased to invite you to the joint meetings of ICCS and ESPU which will take place in Antalya on September 14 -17, 2006.

The 9th?Biennial Meeting of the International Children?s Continence Society (ICCS) will be held on September 15 -17, 2006 and a one and a half day ESPU course on "Surgery for the Incontinent Child and Bowel Problems" will be preceding this meeting.? The date may seem distant now, but time passes quickly and we would like you to have the general information earlier with this announcement.

The ESPU course "Surgery for the Incontinent Child and Bowel Problems" will start on September 14 (Thursday) one day before the ICCS meeting. It will be an intensive course during which all surgical procedures concerning continence pathologies will be discussed. On Friday morning during the second half day of the course, bowel problems in the incontinent child will be the main topic of the course and not only surgical aspects but also other approaches to this problem will be discussed in detail. While the ESPU course is taking place, we also plan to have a parallel ICCS course will mainly cover non-surgical aspects of incontinence in childhood. On the second day both ESPU and ICCS courses will join to talk about Conservative and Surgical Management of Bowel Problems. We have gathered an excellent faculty of international renowned experts to share their outstanding experiences. This faculty will be taking part both during the courses and the congress. During the courses there will be many "State of the art "lectures, video presentations and case discussions in an interactive format. The courses will be followed immediately by 9th?Biennial Meeting of ICCS, which will go on till Sunday afternoon. ?

Since the first meeting in Hanover in 1991, the International Children?s Continence Society (ICCS) has come a long way to mature into an established society focused on multidisciplinary care of children with incontinence. With the spirit received from the previous congresses, it will again be our aim to bring all health care professionals from different disciplines with interest in continence problems in childhood, and from different parts of the world, together for scientific exchange.? There will be keynote lectures, symposia and panel discussions by world experts with an aim to obtain standardisation and consensus to clinical criteria and approach to various common urological conditions and incontinence problems in children. The conference will be designed to encourage exchange of views and participants will have ample opportunities to present their own work in either open platforms or poster formats.

By coming to Turkey you will have a chance to explore the country, which is a member of the modern world but builds on a very old and rich history. You will explore the country that represents a cultural mixture, a synthesis of east and west, while it geographically bridges Europe and Asia.

Antalya "Turkish Riviera" assumes its name with its numerous archaeological traces and natural beauties. Unique harmony of the sparkling sea, sun, mysteries of an important history and nature make Antalya a tranquil retreat of heaven with the most beautiful and clear coastline.

We are much pleased to invite you to Antalya, we are sure that your visit to Antalya will be academically, educationally and socially rewarding and we are looking forward to offer you the traditional Turkish hospitality.?
